Happy Birthday Mommy (& Emilie)!

Happy Birthday to meeeeee…. After a long, long , long week of fighting a really nasty cold…. we spent the day celebrating Mommy’s birthday and Emilie’s 4 month birthday. Of course we all rocked out and had fun eating cake! Lily “helped” blow out the candles… which almost led to her popping her eyes out of her sockets! More pics in the February folder~

While I celebrated the big 2-8…. Emilie had her 4 month appointment today and passed with flying colors. She continues to get bigger (50% weight) and taller (80% height) and even her peanut head is catching up to her! (It is now officially 1/4 cm larger than Lily’s was when she was born.)

Other than that, glad that everyone is on the path to recovery… hopefully we will feel well enough to get some more pictures up soon!

Holy Moly!

If you look very carefully at this picture you will see our new family member. His name is Holy Moly and Lily carries him in her pocket.dsc_0682

Holy Moly is a purple haired man who has his own big kid bed. He has a magic pony and likes to eat peanut butter crackers. Lily enjoys blowing him off of her hand across the room and chasing him. He is a a tricky guy to catch.

Seriously though, where does this kid come from? What 2 year old names her imaginary friend, ‘Holy Moly’? ;-)

The face says it all…

ohno

And this is how I deal with my big return tomorrow…

Happy Baby

So Emilie is starting to enjoy her life with us a little more recently. Getting more smiles and less tears. She is really starting to grab and hold things and can spin some of her toys now. She is happy to hang out and play… but only if it is with her favorite person Lily. She already looks at her like she is the coolest thing that ever existed.

As for Lily, she is running around causing lots of trouble. She has been spending the cold days at Gymboree- which has given her lots of time to run around. She found a new friend the other day and even after being introduced, ran around screaming, “Other kid! Other kid! Come here and play!” ~ She is one goofy kid!

I think I will keep them…

Even if they… don’t always sleep through the night (unless they are cuddling their mom!), take pacifiers past 2 years old and sometimes even forget to eat their vegetables. ;-)
