So tonight, while we were all sitting around talking at the table, Lily decided to grab a peach out of the fruit bowl and bite into it like a big girl. Since she had already eaten a lot I took it away after a few bites (I didn’t even know babies could bite into food like that!) and she started to cry. She then proceeded to grab another peach and do the exact same thing.
The kid may be smarter than all of us…
We have been busy doing nothing… my favorite kind of busy. Lily has been busy cruising around and chomping down on everything with her new top teeth. She loves brushing her teeth and eating the toothpaste. Speaking of eating… Lily is eating everything. She now eats pretty much whatever we eat, with grilled cheese and yogurt being some of her favorites.
The other night, I let her try to feed herself. Let’s just say we definitely had a bath after that fiasco.

As Summer winds down I find it has been hard to update because I just have so many things I want to do with Miss Lily. I have been working very hard on a surprise for Lily’s first birthday present and we just got back from a fun beach vacation with Daddy. Needless to say, we have been quite busy… so busy I haven’t even uploaded any of Lily’s newest photos. I promise to get on that- so check back soon!
Happy Birthday to Seth and a Happy 10 month Birthday to Lily!
We have continued to enjoy doing nothing… next week we are planning our first family vacation to the beach. I am looking forward to getting away and spending time together.
Lily said “Dada” to Seth the other day. She had mastered dadadada and mamamamama months ago, but now she knows to put a word to a face. She also has mastered shaking her head “No” to just about everything. She is too cute!
